The program features the world premiere of Symphony No. 4 by Meadows alumnus Thomas Sleeper (M.M. ’80), a noted composer/conductor praised by critics for his rich lyricism and soaring melodies. Meadows Distinguished Artist-in-Residence Emanuel Borok will join the MSO for the Violin Concerto No. 1 by Polish composer Karol Szymanowski (1916); considered the first modern violin concerto, the work is noted for its ecstatic, sumptuous music.
